CREAK, MOAN, TIMBER!!!!!, CHIRP, CHIRP

Well I think the title kind of says it all. The only other sound that I think is fitting for the USA economy is a toilet flushing. One can look at both sides of the coin and pose the question could or should the government bail out the banks to keep the economy from taking a quick slide into the proverbial toilet? Personally I think for a change the right decision was made. What will this do to the Canadian economy? What will this do to our in giant house of cards. I think we are going to sway a bit, and even a few cards might fall off the top. I always thought we were a bit top heavy anyway. My personal opinion is we are going to see some flexing of corporate muscles, but I think that we are going to come out on top. Hey we are Canadians we are tough!!! LOL I think you are going to see some huge fire sales in all sectors in the USA for the next 6 to 12 months. Does that mean we should be running down there faster then a fat kid told he had unlimited spending in his local Cadburys Chocolate store? NO!!!!! We as Canadians are much more conservative in our investments and spending in general. Lets face it the Americans are much more aggressive, and in your face in all facets of life. This is one time we as Canadians can jump up and yell; "in your face United States Of America" We in Canada may be the smarter of of the family after all. We may be the runt of the litter, but sometimes the geeks (the term I use for how the USA treats us... the geeky younger brother) They may have all the cool toys, but in a lot of ways in my opinion I think we are smarter and if not smarter more reserved then our older sibling to the south. Now for the people that have the posh life styles and money invested in the USA I am sure there is some nervous people today. Although I think that is a pretty small percentage of Canadians. It will be interesting to see how the house of cards are rebuilt. Hopefully the USA will be smarter the next time around, and will not want to play 52 pick-up again anytime soon. I think you are going to see some wicked deals when it comes from made in USA products. There is where Canadians will benefit. Just be wary of the slick looking dude with the American flag standing on your nearest street corner trying to sell you a Rolex. Grin....

As a blogger I must admit that I do read other posts. With that I cam across a blog that I do try and read on a regular basis. Blogging I will warn you is like crack to a geek! Next to hygiene first thing in the morning this is very high on my list. Some days the info is more interesting then others. Today was one of those interesting days. Unskilled and Mediocre by RHolt is a site that I really recomend. He was blogging about a interesting subject called pictometry. Now this is big brother at its finest. My question is though if we have companies and services out there like this tell me why we are still looking for rat bastards like Bin Lauden? Like the article of Bobs says it is taking this to the next degree. Government is looking at this for using this to do tax property checks. Pretty soon we will just go to work go home and once a week they will scan our heads and input so many credits in our account for work recieved, and we will go through life living in a computerized cashless society. You scoff... I really find this interesting, but on the other side of the coin kind of scary. What is your take on this whole idea? Are you willing to get micro-chipped for the better of man kind? We do it to some animals. We are tracked through our cookies on our computers, our club cards, through our vehicles. What is next? Well I think it is time to go dance naked so big brothers camera will never work again pointing it at this house hold. Lmao

Until next time:

Live and Large...Back in the Saddle

Well the adventure finally came to an end. I finally got off that wild ride called "The Hospital". It is a great place to visit if you have someone special to see, but remember if you stay too long one of two things might happen. You might catch something to cause you to join that someone special, or you might just end of staying long enough you get shuffled into the paper work and they keep you. That only works when you are on the nut cracker floor. For the record although some of you can contest that I should be locked up because I am nuts, this time I was on a regular ward actually it was the maternity ward at the end of my stay. I was trying to get them to change my diaper! I would have been the biggest baby they would have ever seen I am sure. lol I would have hated to be the one that I came out of!!!! LMAO

Medicine Hat looks different. It is kind of dejavou... I remember being here before I am just not sure when. No I am not going nuts it just seems like I have been away longer then 7 1/2 weeks. I can say there is no place like home Toto. It is going to take me a bit to get back to fine form as I am going to have build strength up again. One does not realize how much they lose when they don't use it. I got spoiled being served like a king. Then again I am the alpha male of my jungle isn't that the way it is supposed to be??? Now before you get all in my face about being chauvinistic I could not be the king of the jungle if I wanted. As the Alpha Female only lets me believe that I am king, because if the truth be told she could kick my ass, and leave me begging for more. LOL

Hopefully we can continue with the flavorful postings just other things then what I had for lunch today in the hospital. Although it was a nice medium to keep everyone informed all at once. If you did'nt want to be informed I am sure you have been pretty bored with the postings the last couple of months. Again a very heartfelt thank you to all that helped us along my interesting journey. Mellody and I could never say thank you enough, but please realize we would be there if we can to see you through the same type of journey. It is always easier when you have someone to lean on as you were there for Mellody. Remember we will be there if the need ever arises.

I cannot finish a post with out sounding off on the subject of politics. PLEASE people I cannot stress enough don't be a bunch of sheep. Go out and vote, first and foremost! Secondly vote differently then what you have as obviously what we have been voting has not been working. It is some what comical to go read the news for the day and see what promises are being made to garner votes. To be honest with you one can ask who do you vote for? Well I tell people read a bit on line, listen to people around you, and then place your X where you think will make the most difference. One has to look at where we are today in the world, and ask yourself is that direction working for you? Some might say that hey Mr. Harper is exactly what I want to see, and vote status quote. Personally I look at things, and say yes he has not really screwed us, but status quote is not necessarily good either. I know all you prairie blues will start to sharpen your axes and formulate a lynching party. All I can say is you better watch out the ape is feeling friskier then he has in a lot of years you might be surprised what fight you might encounter. lol Not that I have ever been shy as to how or who I have not voted for I must say if I was sitting on a fence I think I would want to jump in the green party's yard for a while and play. I am not saying that I would set permanent camp there, but they interest me in more ways then not. I know I can hear the cat calls now typical jungle bunny wanting to side with those tree huggers. In some ways I don't think they are too far off the mark. My philosophy is such; " hell lets give them a try we can't do any worse can we?"

Well in closing it feels really different actually typing on my laptop, and sending my post out. For several weeks now we have been posting on a community basis. I would type my posting up on my crackberry, and then Mellody would send the notice out though my email posting on my address book. Thank goodness for geeky wives. lol I certainly would not trade her for the world!!!! I would not ever do as good as I did with Mel even if I custom made her. Now that I have made you all feel warm and fuzzy I am going to bid you farewell.

Until Next Time

What is your bucket list?

Here is a link of a fellow blogger that decided to share his bucket list. It is a bit long, but then again who am I judge.

http://bobholts.blogstream.com/v1/pid/341179.html

You may have to cut and paste this address in your address bar.

What is a bucket list? I encourage you to take in the movie with Jack Nicholeson that bares the same name. I know I plan to find it when I get home. I am sure it should be out in video by now as it was a hit in the spring.

My bucket list is not near as long my fellow bloggers, but like I said before who am I to judge.

My list is this:

- love Mellody now and every day after like the first day we met.
- visit and communicate with our true friends more.
- go to Jamica
- travel from one coast to the other along with the territories exploring the places for their beauty not the tourist traps.
- spend more time with nature.

Now these points will grow and fade. The point is to follow your bucket list with no abandon. Sometimes in life we get lost. We forget where we come from or get so busy that we just let life pass us . Now I realize in life we can keep looking for those zen moments in life, but I do believe we have got to stop being slaves to our careers. We should work to live, not live to work.

I encourage you to share your bucket list you don't have to give your name. Just add it into the comments section it would be interesting who and where you wanted to be the future.

Everyone is special in their own way. Let's share that experience. Life's experiences is what you make of them. If someone give you lemons in life don't be sour! Juice them and realize if you add a bit of vodka you can have a pretty good drink. ***Grin***

People Need To Wake Up!!!!

As we approach another day we hear the babble of polititions pushing and shoving in the media to convince "Joe Public" they are the best vote, and why. personally I must be getting old and grumpy as I really don't trust any of them any farther then I can pick them up and throw them. A good friend once told me he would rather have a sister in a whore house as a brother as a politition.(Thanks Bill I like that statement)(grin) I am begining to believe and understand that it is the smoothest talker that gets in not the guy that really wants to do the country common good. Those people were left behind in the Mayberry days. ( If you understand that comment you are old enough to truely understand politics). I know it is all about getting people out to vote, and I agree voting is a priviledge that everyone that wants to live in a free country should take. If you didn't vote then shut the hell up when you talk about the government screwing us. It could have been your vote that could have made the difference. If everyone took that attitude then we have a country like we live in.now. A Mess!!! I kind of appear to be forming this rant into two for the price of one again today. As the political double speak leads me to the next point of this soap box session.

People have to understand that when polititions want to raise money for something or make people think that they are justifing their job. They spin a yarn that if we do "A" and add "B" we will get "c". Well I call this the "Bullshit Equation". Public officals learn that equation in the first day of public official university, and just fine tune it from their. So if we say "A" is guns and "B" is crime then the obvious is the answer to the question = gun control. Sorry Billy you did not get the question right go to the back of the class. PEOPLE wake up and smell the coffee!!! Guns don't kill people! People kill people!!! That is saying because I run over you Grandmother in a cross walk that we should ban all motorized 4 wheeled vehicles. Well... we laugh, but that statement makes about much sence as the first statement. Again I know this gets preached at least once in every rant (for the record I will continue to preach it until people start doing it again) we need to start taking responsability for. our own actions in life. Let's not blame the fact that Billy came from an impoverished (the word of the day...thanks Mr. Webster...Grin) home, and is now selling drugs running around with a gun and wonders why he got shot, and killed when his latest drug deal went south. Then of course the up and coming talking head that appears in the media saying well if there was gun control maybe poor Billy's life could have been spared. There is that "Bullshit equation again" all they are trying to do is garner more money from their peers to say if we would have 20 more officers on the road little Billy would have been safe. We don't know that! With that being said I am not saying that we could not. use more officers on the streets. What we truely need is some teeth in the Justice system. If Joe Public actually got some serious jail time when he got caught when peddling drugs. A stronger sentence if he was selling and had a weapon. If Mr. Public kills someone in the commission of of a crime. Sorry dude it is also your time to check out to. Now I know you have all the warm and fuzzy people say well they just made a mistake, and they can be rehabilitated(sp). Well that is the problem for no ownership principle because there is too many warm and fuzzy people in this world too. Now before you say it I do have compassion (Honest), but when it comes to people doing dumb ass stunts I draw the line. You take a life you lose yours. You know if people knew that going into some of these situations I think you would see less people killing each other and even packing (if you don't understand the last line ask your nearest teenager they will explain it) so when you hear a local talking head looking for money you can ask yourself does this fit into the "Bullshit Equation", and Remember on October 14th go out to vote. If nothing else to see the guy you don't want to get in get in.

Well that is my opinion, and we all know about opinions. (If you don't go back a few rants I am sure you will find your answer)

Until Nex Time

What Happened To Our Youths Minds?

Well the end is in sight! I am going to get paroled yipppppeeeeeeeee! No I am not some big bad criminal if you are reading this for the first time. Although if you have ever met me I kind support the look like I have just got released from your nearest maximum penetentury. Oh well I like scareing little kids and old ladies! LMAO Any way I digress I will be discharged from hospital on the morning of the 23rd of September. Yes this adventure has been 7 weeks in the making. Hospitals are great to visit, and I have received exceptional care, but they are not really a lot of fun. There is too many sick people for my liking. If you stay long enough you are bound to catch something. Any way let's get back to the subject point.

What goes through the minds of our youth of today? Now I do not want to paint all our youth with the same brush as there is some very responsible young people out there. With that being said we are hearing more and more teens being paraded into our justice system for really sick offenses. What really troubles me is these youth are going to be running our country in 15 to 20 years. Now what offences that trouble me the most are a recent rash of kids putting cats in the microwave, and cooking them to death. Now can we say sick with a capitol S!!! There has been two teens in the last couple months been exposed on television news explaining such hainous crimes. Now for starters because these little darlings are minors their names cannot be spotlighted. Well I could never understand the logic to that one. You do the crime you pay the time. I really think that people really have the right to know who their neighbours really are. Now I can hear the people now;"where are these useless dregs of society going to live? They have to live some where. Yes I agree. They need to have a section of town in every town and city where this type of individuals are placed. There would be a sign welcome to bad boy centeral please note these people do not play well with the rest of society. Enter at your own risk. Now I know before the do gooders climb on there soap boxes that is segregation in North America has been eradicated. People have worked really hard over the last 2 to 3 decades to change that way of thinking. Well it is time to pull your head out of your hiney boys and girls as natural segregation has, and will be going on for years. Have you heard of china town or little italy? Other people can live in these areas, and that is what is different from yesteryear is there is choices for people other then the the ones that cannot play well in society. It is kind of like we are giving them a time out until they learn that their previous actions are not exceptable. It would be an open concept prison with a few less restrictions, but non the less monitored. Then when these shit heads prove that they can play nice in society then they can come and play with the rest of us in main stream society. Outcasting is a wonderful deterent unless you are a complete shit head then you deserve to live that way of life for ever then. I know this kind of sounds kind of futuristic, but if we don't start getting a handle on this stuff now I am afraid our world is going to be a whole lot scarer in the coming decades. Mad Max comes to mind. If you have not seen the movie go rent it some time. It is a classic. eally retro piece, but non the less completely plausable.

Well I am going to leave you with a barrowed story to finish off the post. I would like to thank all the well wishes and funnies that have been sent to me over time, but especially since I have been caged up.

Here is a court case which is a true story about a Pregnant lady:

An actual Australian court docket #12659
A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus.She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her. She immediately moved to another seat. This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved again. The man seemed more amused. When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing, she complained to the driver and he had the man arrested. The case came up in court and the judge asked the man (about 20 years old) what he had to say for himself.
The man replied, 'Well your Honor, it was like this, when the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition.
She sat down under a sign that said, 'The Double Mint Twins are coming' and I grinned.
Then she moved and sat under a sign that said, ' Logan 's Liniment will reduce the swelling,' and I had to smile.
Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said, 'William's Big Stick Did the Trick,' and I could hardly contain myself.
But, Your Honor, when She moved the fourth time and sat under a sign that said,'Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this Accident'... I just lost it.The case was dismissed!!'  Now keep that smile on your face and pass it on to someone else !!
I don't care if you lick windows,
take the special bus
or occasionally pee on yourself..
You hang in there sunshine, you're special!!!
Every sixty seconds you spend angry, upset or mad, is a full minute of happiness you'll never get back.
Today is International Disturbed People's Day

Please send an encouraging message to a disturbed friend ... just as I've done.

Today's Message of the Day is:
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And Never regret anything that made you smile.

Send to all the people you love and don't want to lose in 2008, even me.
If you get 3 back, you are a great friend.

Well folks I decided to put this out in my blog as I think it has a really great message! Consider this sent back to all who sent it to me, and you all know who you are, and REMEMBER that you are special friends that read my crap! Lol

Two For The Price Of One!

Well here we go. Actually a loyal reader submitted a subject that she thought should be brought to light. Well here I go I am flipping the light on exposing this situation. It was pointed out, and I am sure you have seen in your media products that Prince Harry is back in the area of Southern Alberta. Whooooppppeee!!!!! Personaly I really don't think he is any different then an other soilder. Now with that being said I take my hat off to all the military that fight for our freedoms. Now the interesting point to this article prior to the prince gracing our presence the British military were more or less banned from local drinking establishments. See in the past when the British boys start to get into the local spirits they have trouble controling themselves resulting in various problems. So the local bar owners have got together and said unless you have an Alberta Health Card if you are British you are not getting into sample the local libations. Right or Wrong that is what the business community has decided. It has been reported when the boys come in they tear up the place or puke in places that are not approprite. Now that causes a spin off effect in the local economy. One might not understand or think of. Now the cabs that are used as these gents needing them to get around around town to the cafes they frequent before they go on their run aways are all feeling the effects of the Brits being banned also it is about a 20 mile trip into town from the base. Not to mention the cafes or the stores that are also feeling the pinch. Now the kicker is now that the fair haired Prince shows up, and Ralphs bar and Grill welcomes the Prince and his buddies in with open arms as it is huge advertising for the bar that Prince Harry attended! Some people are just crazy when it comes to the Royals or any star.personality showing up. I look like at him or anybody famous person the same way. I feel honored to meet anybody new as we all are famous in our own little way. The point I make is he is no different then you or I. The only thing is he was born into a family with money and prestiege. So I think it is kind of hipocritical as my loyal reader pointed out that just because Prince Harry graces our presence the clubs and cafes are more then willing to change the old rules because it creates media attention on a world level. Maybe they should open up the can of worms of the hypocritical business community bows to the British to get world wide media attention. Just food for thought Thanks again Diane for the story idea.

Now the second that I promised for the two for the price of one. How come we never got kissed when we got boned when we woke up Friday morning? I am a bit perplexed as why there is a threat of hurricane damage in the texas area the fuel price immeditly goes up. Not everyone knows this, but our gas prices are bought on futures. How this works is the gas we are working on now was bought on a price that was set up 3 months ago. So my question is why do we see an imediate increase on a product that we are setting a price for 3 months down the road. Hense for the comment we are getting boned without getting kissed. Now even a bigger twist to this little tale is why is it that at the north end of the provience it is $1.21 a liter and at the south end of the provience it is $1.31. Now explain that to me other then supply and demand, and sell it for what ever the market will bear. Now lets get all the tree huggers in on this and say that the government is trying to get us to stop driving so much. Well folks I don't know about you, but we are being taxed up the wazoo now. Isn't this just another way to collect a tax from us that we won't bitch about? Now there is the people that say well if you would not drive so much you would not feel the crunch. Well that is a lame comment! What about the people that have to drive to work because they live too far to walk. Ok I hear the huggers already;"well if you would not go out in these sprawling suberbia areas you would not feel that crunch. Well HELLO we all cannot live in the area of our work! The other point I want to point out is just about every thing you touch is brought to you by a truck. Well that fuel that powers that truck has got more expensive so inorder to recoop some of the fuel cost. The truckers are forced to charge the manufactures to get the products to you. Now as a consumer you will now have be charged more to recoop some of the extra expense. So once again the consumer gets boned coming and going. The only thing that is not being risen to match the supply and demand theory is wages.

Well as usual I would like to hear from you, and see what your thoughts are on these points. It appears I had some people disagree with me on the last posting. Personally I think that is great! It shows me two things:
1. You are reading what I am writing.
2. My theroy that everybody has opinions just some are bigger then others is true. Grin

I hope this finds everybody well!

Until next time

When did Common Sense Die?

I really have to question when the lines of common sense and resposibility for your own actions are
blurred. I think it is pretty scarey when a bar is charged for someones death when they die at home supposedly from alcohol posioning. Ok there is a lot of information that we are not privy to, but even so if a bar is going to be charged after everyone is over served they better create a whole new court system. I have a bigger question who determines the person has been over served? You can see where there is going. Here is the article you be the judge.

RCMP lay charges in alcohol poisoning death
A bar owner and a bartender are facing criminal charges after a women drank herself to death in a Calmar, Alta. pub.
Skip's Bar employee Derek Allen Tithcott, 33, was charged Friday with manslaughter in connection to the death of Tammy Kobylka.
He also faces a second charge of criminal negligence causing death. Bar owner Brian Cameron Bromley and S.B.H. Enterprises Inc. are also facing a negligence charge.
The charges come after Kobylka, 22, died in her Calmar home from alcohol poisoning in October 2007.
Tests show her blood-alcohol level was five times over the legal limit for driving.
Neither of the accused could be reached for comment Friday.
Friends and family said the young woman was a happy and hard working person prior to her death.
Leduc RCMP initially charged the Calmar bar in March 2008 after an autopsy revealed Kobylka died from acute ethanol toxicity -- or alcohol poisoning.
Police said Kobylka was served drinks even though she was already drunk and passing out.
Skip's Bar was charged with permitting a person apparently intoxicated by alcohol to consume liquor in a licensed premise. The charge is under the regulations of the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Act.
Yet two months after the initial charge against Skip's Bar, the Alberta Crown dropped the case for undisclosed reasons.
RCMP Const. Jodi Heidinger said the new charges are part of a separate RCMP investigation into Kobylka's death.
"It's a very unique situation and the investigators worked very diligently to explore all the avenues and interview as many witnesses as they could," she said.
One law expert tells CTV News negligence and manslaughter charges are extremely rare after a person dies from alcohol poisioning.
The two charges have only been laid a few times in Alberta and only one resulted in a conviction.
"The crown is going to have to have very compelling evidence of the quantity of alcohol served," defence lawyer Ed O'Neill said. "Simply proving that the deceased attended the establishment and was served alcohol by the bartender is going to be insufficient to secure a conviction."
Meanwhile, some residents of the small Albertan town say they are hoping that someone is held responsible for Kobylka's death.
"When people drink too much they're not in their right minds," Calmar resident Jeanna Westlund said. "Somebody has to look after them."
The accused are scheduled to appear in a Leduc court on Sept. 18.

Well I better wrap this one up before someone figures this is too long, and turn me over to the Blog Police!! You laugh, but this is how stupid our world is getting!

REMEMBER: Stand for something or you will fall for everything!

Until next time

A Dangerous Recipe

Well believe it or not the old ape can cook once and a while. Then again when you think about it I did not get to be the 500LB gorilla eating banannas! Lol Anyway I know a few recipes or two. There is always room in the old storage can for another good recipe I must add. I am afraid though I should not be trying this too terribly much with my new diet plan. I guess there is always Mellody's Birthday, and then I canhit two birds with one stone getting brownie points for making Mel her Birthday Cake, and also getting to try the cake at the same time. See I am not such a dumb ape after all!!! Lol

I would like to thank the Graves for that naughty little tidbit. You know Bill either one of us is supposed to have this tastey little morsel. Well I figured this is a change of pace from my regular rants.

Until next time***

Coffee Mug Chocolate Cake

Will be a good recipe for camping - or if you need a chocolate fix!

MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
    1 Coffee Mug
    4 tablespoons flour(that's plain flour, not self-rising)
    4 tablespoons sugar (or splenda!)
    2 tablespoons baking cocoa
    1 egg
    3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil  (or substitute apple sauce!)
    3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)

Some nuts (optional) Small splash of vanilla

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well .
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on  high. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to share!)

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?     Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night.

The Adventure Continues...

It is truely amazing how lifes little journies take twists and turns. Here I lay 5 weeks today still held up in the placial fines of the Brooks General Hilton. Believe me when I say there really could be worse places to be. The company is fair considering we are a bunch of sick people. How much fun can you have other then taking bets on what we are going to have for the next meal, or my favorite is what your O2 sats and blood pressure is going to be when they come around on vital checks. Hey folks you have to understand we lead pretty sheltered lives in here. Let's face it they don't want you getting too comfortable in here you may want to stay. Goodness knows the wait time for hospital beds are long enough. They really don't want people thinking getting sick is really a good thing. They might have more people knocking at the doors that are already too busy. That is why hospital food is not fine dining. People who get fed too well might think this is a better gig then being at home, and not want to get well too quick. This way if they keep your neighbors puking and the others trying to hork up a lung all night it is just in and out, and you are good to go. See I must be a miserable old ape I got my own room. I guess I am blessed, but I can say for the most part most of the rooms.here are privates. Again as much as I kid I have truely did receive steller care both in Brooks and Calgary. I am still waiting for that cute little blonde number that comes in with the tradional nurses out fit with no under garments on, and happens to bend over... HOLD ON that is my perfect hospital dream. Forget that idea. I know I will just keep dreaming!!! I can say after 5 weeks you can't blame a guy for having naughty dreams every now and then!!!!Right??? Lol

Even though I would like to thank you all for the great well wishes, visits, and phone calls to Mellody for both updates and to see how we are doing. It really means a lot to Mellody and I to know we have that close of friends. Thank you to all. For fear of missing you I will just say thank you as I do not want to start thanking everyone for fear I would miss someone. You all know who you are!

Well the doctor was in today and wiggled a bananna in front of the big old ape. If things keep going in the direction they have been. I should get my get out of jail free pass on Tuesday. That is still 4 and a half days away, but I am feeling pretty good for the most part so we will see. It is mostly what my test results say on Monday. If the numbers don't cooperate with the doctors expectations then I guess they are loading me up in the donkey express and letting the specialists take another crack at me. Well time and good judgement will tell I guess. I always knew and this just proved it yesterday. It is not what you know it is who you know in this life to get positive action. Well I was turned down recently to get a consult with a gastric surgeon with no real expectation of seeing one any time soon. Well my fine Dr. along with 2 specialists in Calgary rallied in my favor, and mysterically I was given an appointment out of thin air for the 23rd of September. Wow not only did it happen, but it happened quickly. Who says the old ape is not special!! (grin) does that mean I have friends in important places?

I was listening to the radio this morning the music host was talking about how over in Austrailia if you are on Wefare they will PAY you $5 a day to make sure your kid(s) are in school. He was asking what we thought about that.Well I would like to throw that out to you folks as to what your thoughts are on this matter. Here is my 2.5 cents for what it is worth. I think if you are paid to do something that would be considered a job. Well if one would ask me I would list having children under priviledges and responsabilities. See that is what is wrong with todays society. Most people think that they need to get paid with every action in life. Nobody held a gun to your head to have those children. Kids. They are a bi-product of sex which in my mind something fun to do. It could be considered a sport if you will or a hobby. Here is a equation that you can look at for all you analytical types. Kids= prividledges X responsabilities. TAKE RESPONSABILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS PEOPLE. I feel better now*** deep breath... Lol

Well I guess I better wrap this up for another day.

I just wanted to acknowledge that it was September 11th. Where were you on that fateful day. I heard it explained as the modern day version of pearl harbor. How true that it is. Take a moment in your busy day just to reflect what we have in todays society, and thank our troops that are fighting for our freedoms.

Until next time be kind to one another as a duck maybe someones mother!

Cheers
From The Big Ape ;-)
