Only in Canada You Say!

Now folks you know that I have a pretty liberal attitude when it comes to things, but this really takes the cake!!!! I really have to question where our legal system is going when a drug addict can sue her dealer and actually win compensation because the drugs that she bought from him, and smoked with her caused her to have a heart attack! WOW!!!! isn't this opening up a very slippery slope in our legal system. Well I guess I better contact my Lawyer on Monday and get that suit going for Macdonald's! As I am fat, and they sold me a hamburger so I guess they should be held responsible for me being fat. They knew that the food I was eating from their restaurant would contribute to my weight , but they still chose to sell it to me regardless of the fact they knew that it would harm me. All I can say is take responsibility for your own actions people!!!!!!! That is what is wrong with society of today!! Everybody is looking for that quick way out. I truly think that if this is not over turned that smokers will be next, fat people, and god knows who else. I think this is just a lawyer trying to make a name for himself or herself. I hope that this is not a start of what the USA does... sue everyone just because they can! Our court system is slow enough in Canada without adding bogus court cases like this one. I would like to have my readers comment on this and tell me what you think! Also check out some of the comments at the end of the article and see if you agree.

Remember though this is just my opinion and I may be wrong!

Check out the article that fueled this rant...

Until next time

More on 911

Well as you have seen I posted a story asking you to think about the terrible acts of 911. Well it really does make you think about how much the USA government was trying to cover up. Well I have something else that is going to blow your socks off! There is a part 2 to this story that you must listen to and watch. It is a bit long of about 35 minutes, but take the time and view this and sit and and really think what else has the USA and Canadian governments kept secret or down right lied to us about? Check this out it is really worth the watch!

Mental Feng Shui

You know I am starting to try and start 2008 on a better note! This is some pretty good advice that I think I have read in a while. this was sent to me in some email and I felt that I should share it with you as readers. You don't have to be a a Tibetan Monk to buy into this philosophy I truly believe that if we all did this and practiced it on a regular basis the world might be just a bit better of a place I hope you enjoy this!

Until next time:

Cheers

Mental Feng Shui

There's some mighty fine advice in these words, even if you're not superstitious.

This is true, even if you are not superstitious, agnostic, or otherwise faith impaired.

ONE.
Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

TWO.
Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

THREE.
Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

FOUR.
When you say, 'I love you,' mean it.

FIVE.
When you say, 'I'm sorry,' look the person in the eye..

SIX.
Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

SEVEN.
Believe in love at first sight.

EIGHT.
Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.

NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

TEN..
In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

ELEVEN.
Don't judge people by their relatives.

TWELVE.
Talk slowly but think quickly.

THIRTEEN! .
When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, 'Why do you want to know?'

FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

FIFTEEN. Say 'bless you' when you hear someone sneeze.

SIXTEEN.
When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

SEVENTEEN.
Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

EIGHTEEN.
Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

NINETEEN.
When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

TWENTY- ONE.
Spend some time alone each and everyday.

New Rules For 2008

Well I hope everyone had a good New Years Eve! If you were out enjoying the spirits of the eve you got home safely, and did not experience too much pain from the morning after the night before. I was sent this in email the other day and I know this has been done before, but it is well worth stating again. I must admit George Carlan has got to be one of the smartest common men I have ever had the privilege to read or listen to. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

New Rules For 2008

New Rule : Stop giving me that pop-up ad for classmates.com! There's a reason you don't talk to people for 25 years. Because you don't particularly like them!? Besides, I already know what the captain of the football team is doing these days--mowing my lawn.

New Rule : Don't eat anything that's served to you out a window unless you're a seagull. People are acting all shocked that a human finger was found in a bowl of Wendy's chili. Hey, it cost less than a dollar. What did you expect it to contain?? Trout?

New Rule : Ladies, leave your eyebrows alone. Here's how much men care about your eyebrows: do you have two of them? Okay, we're done.

New Rule : There's no such thing as flavored water. There's a whole aisle of this crap at the supermarket, water, but without that watery taste. Sorry, but flavored water is called a soft drink. You want flavored water? Pour some scotch over ice and let it melt. That's your flavored water.

New Rule : The more complicated the Starbucks order, the bigger the asshole. If you walk into a Starbucks and order a "decaf grande half-soy, half-low fat, iced vanilla, double-shot, gingerbread cappuccino, extra dry, light ice, with one sweet-n'-Low, and one NutraSweet," ooh, you're a huge asshole.

New Rule : I'm not the cashier! By the time I look up from sliding my card, entering my PIN number, pressing "Enter," verifying the amount, deciding no, I don't want cash back, and pressing "Enter" again, the kid who is supposed to be ringing me up is standing there eating my Almond Joy.

New Rule : Just because your tattoo has Chinese characters in it doesn't make you spiritual. It's right above the crack of your ass. And it translates to "beef with broccoli." The last time you did anything spiritual, you were praying to God you weren't pregnant. You're not spiritual. You're just high.

New Rule : Competitive eating isn't a sport . It's one of the seven deadly sins. ESPN recently televised the U.S. Open of Competitive Eating, because watching those athletes at the poker table was just too damned exciting. What's next, competitive farting??? Oh wait!? They're already doing that. It's called "The Howard Stern Show."

New Rule : I don't need a bigger mega M&Ms. If I'm extra hungry for M&Ms, I'll go nuts and eat two.

New Rule : No more gift registries. You know, it used to be just for weddings. Now it's for babies and new homes and graduations from rehab. Picking out the stuff you want and having other people buy it for you isn't gift giving, it's the white people version of looting.

New Rule : and this one is long overdue: No more bathroom attendants. After I zip up, some guy is offering me a towel and a mint like I just had sex with George Michael. I can't even tell if he's supposed to be there, or just some freak with a fetish. I don't want to be on your web cam, dude. I just want to wash my hands.

New Rule : When I ask how old your toddler is, I don't need to know in months. "27 Months." "He's two," will do just fine. He's not a cheese. And I didn't really care in the first place.

New Rule : If you ever hope to be a credible adult and want a job that pays better than minimum wage, then for God's sake don't pierce or tattoo every available piece of flesh. If so, then plan your future around saying, "Do you want fries with that?"

This was also sent to me in email the other day. When 911 first happened in New York one gets caught up in all the pain and tragedy. Sit back and listen and watch this video it really makes sense. I don't know about you, but I have always said the USA Government knew more then what they were saying right from the first plane crashing! You be the judge after watching this clip.
