You Be The Judge

When it comes to religion I generally take the high road. I believe that everyone has a right to believe in what ever they want. I struggle at times with my religious ideals. I would say I guess that I am more spiritual then I am religious. I believe in god, but I also have a Buddhist ideology. I major in God, and I minor in Buddha. Now some might find that sacrilegious. I am what I am, and when the end comes I guess we will see where my place ends up.

This was sent to me and it makes a lot of sense, and I thought it was worth passing on. I think that is what is wrong with society today. Prayer was taken out of the schools, and "in God we trust" out of our civil buildings. That is what is wrong with spiritual ideals. People only believe on what works for them. It is all or nothing. We are a feel good society. What feels good we use, and the rest gets tossed to fringe groups to do with what they want. Pretty soon there is more fringe groups then the core groups. Then world ideals start to get all messed up. Read this next piece and you be the judge. Just remember this; "who am I to judge?" Judgment will be done by God himself.

This is a true story. The man who walks with God always gets to his destination. If you have a pulse you have a purpose.
The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita
in Canada , especially in the minority
races!!!
Last month I attended my annual training session that's required
for maintaining my federal prison security clearance.
During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers
representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who
explained each of their beliefs.
I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to
say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam,
complete with a video.
After the presentations, time was provided for questions and
answers.
When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and
asked: 'Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most
Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against
the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If
that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?'
There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, 'Non-believers!'
I responded, 'So, let me make sure I have this straight.
All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?'
The expression on his face changed from one of authority and
command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.'
He sheepishly replied, 'Yes.'
I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your
faith or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee
them a place in heaven!'
The Imam was speechless!
I continued, 'I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me!
Let me ask you a question: Would you rather have your
Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my
Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?'
You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame. Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the
Diversification training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing
with the Islamic Imam, and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.
In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in Canada to elect the Prime Minister!
I think everyone in Canada should be required to read this. There
is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us pass it on!
This is your chance to make a difference...

This kind of gets you thinking! Anyway opinions are like certain pieces of our anatomy. Everyone has one, just some are bigger then others. Until next time remember If a man evolved from monkeys and apes, why do we still have monkeys and apes?

Who Should Be Allowed To Breed?

I would like to state for the record that I do not have children, and do not plan to have children. My wife and myself came to that mutual decision. None the less I feel I still have a right to comment on this subject as a free thinking human being (or ape in my case...smile)

I sit back and remember a conversation I had with a RCMP constable in a coffee shop at 4AM one morning. He had just returned from a domestic disturbance call when he stated to the group of us; "You need a license to drive a car, You need a license to fish, You need a license to own a dog, You need a license to get married, Why the hell do you not need a license to have children?" For the record if people were checked out before procreating, and found out how many nut jobs there is in the world the world would be a pretty sparse looking planet. As there are just some people that should not be allowed to breed! Now all joking aside some people should not be allowed to procreate, because they are not smart enough to look after themselves let alone a child too! Now I am not saying that some people who need help in life should not be able to have children. I am talking about people that get up, hold down jobs, but just do not have the foresight to look past their own noses to think about someone else besides themselves let alone having to watch out for a defenseless child. We all know the type!

Baby ok after being left in hot car!
We all know as adults how hot it can get in a vehicle after sitting in it for a few minutes while some one runs in to a store for a few minutes. All that glass intensifies the suns rays to create a modern day easy bake oven if you will. Now pets are no different. People just don't think when it comes to pets either. Just cranking down a window a few inches is not the answer in keeping a pet safe. So why would we think that is suffice for a human life. Now before all the animal activists start a flood of hate mail. I consider any life as an important entity, but human life in the food chain is to be priority one next to an animal. It is what it is, or we would be running around eating little people along side all the other meat of the world. We have not got to that point yet in society thank god!

So have we got to the point that society has become such a wild west that it is the survival of the fittest? Thank god that there is people like that lady who cared enough to go investigate this situation, or we might be reading about different head lines regarding this young life. Now I think that there needs to be a BIG shame on you ministry of children services for not taking that child into protective custody. To say it was an momentary error in judgment is like saying I shot and killed you...me bad! Well it makes as much sense! Whether it is just a wake up call to this mother to teach her the value of her child. Send her to parenting classes. Maybe it is a case that she needs help, and that is fine too get her help if that is what she needs. Just remember there is a value to human life, and we need to be accountable for the lives around us regardless of the age! I think I have got my point across now go out and enjoy the day with your children and pets!

Until next time remember the good life, as I conceive it, is a happy life. I do not mean that if you are good you will be happy - I mean that if you are happy you will be good.

Respect For Mother Nature

Respect is something that is earned, not demanded! That is something that I have been preaching forever. Well can the same be said when that applies to weather. We all know Mother nature has a strong hand, and when she wants us kept in line she shows her force, and we snap to attention.

Now wind has always interested me in the fact it comes in at such varying degrees. Depending how hard it comes in depends on how much we enjoy it. Now when it is sweltering hot, and a cool evening breeze slips in we welcome it like a long lost lover caressing your body. Now there is the winds in December that blows in off the snow in the prairies, and it is about as welcome as hornets nest at a July 4th's picnic.

Now what about when it gusts to the point of hurricaine style winds? They too can be truly traumatizing! Lets not forget the tornado style winds we seem to experience every year! Well when you get winds that is are hard enough to move objects 5 or six miles that generally take a medium size truck or tractor and a strong trailer to carry them. You have to appreciate Mother Nature when she produces winds like this!

(click on the picture itself and you should be able to expand them for better viewing pleasure)

Now you have to marvel at the fact these bails that you are looking at are ones that you see in your local farmers field. They generally are 7 feet tall and 7 or so feet round, and weighs about 1600 lbs!

Now you can view, and marvel the fact objects of this size could be compared to the likes of something as big as Paul Bunions breakfast cereal. Strewn around a field like a child's toy box after a Saturday afternoon play date.

Wow mother nature you have my attention. I respect you as much as a criminal respects a police officer with an itchy trigger finger, after looking at him through his sites of his service revolver while standing with him at close range.

Until next time remember honesty may be the best policy, but it's important to remember that apparently, by elimination, dishonesty is the second-best policy.

I would like to thank TMC for the email. I am not sure who took the pics, but they are truly amazing. Hats off to you for the great camera skills, who ever you are!

How Far Do We Take Reality?

Ontario man accused of string of cruel online pranks. This is the headline that I will start off this piece off with. Now I have said many times I am really amazed how much reality television has taken over the air waves of late. Now I am not totally innocent of this peek into each others lives. I enjoy such shows as; The Contender, UFC ultimate fighter, Fight Girls. I have been known to watch the occasional show of wipeout or cops. My wife is a big fan of Dog The Bounty hunter! Now with that being said shows like Big Brother, Celebrity Rehab, Obsession etc are pushing the envelope I think a bit too far. Now Shows like the Cleaner that is done as a docu-drama where it is done with actors, and it is portrayed rather real to life is in my opinion all right. Why do we have to feel it is of interest to view into other peoples drama. My personal opinion to this is if we watch other peoples drama it takes the light off our own problems. Not only that we watch some one elses hardships. It makes our stuff not so messed up after all. As the saying goes no matter how messed up our own lives are, there is someone else out there that is messed up even more. Like I all ways say never judge a man, until you have walked a mile in his shoes.

Now there is two sides to this reality TV if we as people did not watch this stuff the shows would not stay on the air. Unfortunately reality tv is one of the most acceptable and watched programing because it makes people feel better about themselves. You tune in every week, and think wow maybe my stuff is not so bad after all! Have you watched an episode of Cops lately? Lol So with that being said one has to ask how stupid or naive can people be? Now as the for-mentioned article states to show how we as a society do things regardless how stupid as they are just because we feel it is coming from people with authority. People REALLY breaking up a hotel room because there is a supposed gas leak. Come on did you fall off the turnip truck last night? Think about what you are doing! Peeing on each other in public while being naked in a parking lot, COME ON!!! Can we not think for ourselves? That is once again why nobody wants to take responsibility for ones actions. We just do what we are told. No matter how stupid and messed up it is.

Now you have to credit the group (the smoking gun) who outed these assclowns. I just hope this is not going to be swept under the carpet. As they say there is really nothing wrong here as there is no laws being broken. These guys did not do anything wrong. There is no law for being stupid, because if that was the case our jails would be sealed to capacity because there is a lot of stupid people out there. I think people just need to step back and think before they do something. Lets be accountable for your own actions! Now with that being said I think these guys that found these naive people should be shot with a ball of their own shit! Come one people even though people are stupid don't exploit the fact!

Now with that being said I think I am going to go make a call, and see if I. P Freely is there?

Until next time...remember as P.T. Barnum said there is a sucker born every minute!

Holy Kirpan Batman...

Holy Kirpan batman what is all the fuss? Respect diversity, accept the kirpan! Now as the title asks what is all the fuss, I will tell you what all the fuss is all about. What is a Kirpan? A ceremonial four-inch curved dagger that Sikh men and women are obliged to wear at all times after being baptized. Now as the earlier title of the enclosed story relates to we need to respect diversity, and except the Kirpan under religious ideals. How do you figure? If the Kirpan was a statue or a figure of something then I would say yes then we need to except based as a religious piece. Now that this is a weapon (being a 4" curved dagger) it is just that...a weapon! We do not have to except it. Now before all the do gooders stand up and say we as Canadians have a double standard then, because we allow the Christian's to wear a crucifix around their neck. Based on that the Sikh's should be allowed to wear the Kirpan because it is a religious symbol. Well that is where I say stop the bus my polite little turban friend. If your religious symbols cannot be used as a personal weapon knock yourself out, and wear what you like. Because your religious symbol could be used to kill a person. Sorry for your luck, but it has just run out! By the way I have never heard of a crucifix being pulled out to harm someone. I have heard of a knife or in your case dagger pulled to kill people.

Now I am all for diversity. What you do behind closed doors, religious or other wise as long as it does not break our Canadian laws of the land I feel you should be able to do. So in the case of this enclosed article they had this concert in their mosque all is fine and well. Now, when you start breaking Canadian Laws, or set up rules to protect our fellow country men that is when you need to step back and say where do I want to be? If you want to be in your home land, and follow the rules of your country. May I be the first to say good bye, and head home my foreign little friend. NOW...if you want to come to Canada, and enjoy our freedoms for what they are. I will be the first to welcome you. Now with that being said I do feel that your new found freedoms comes with some new found responsibilities. You need to learn our language. You need to understand, and obey our justice system. Now for your new found freedoms which I understand is leaps and bounds better then your country, or you would not be trying to get over here. I don't think that is too much to ask!

So next time you cry to our Canadian public that we are being unfair, and expect the Canadian people to be sympathize with you. Ask yourself a couple of questions. Does my request go against their justice system? Is my request something that is socially acceptable in my new home? If you answer no to either one of these questions, then you have a choice to make. Continue with my belief or rule, I need to practice in my homeland. Drop the belief and be welcomed to my new home. Our forefathers have fought very hard to have the rights we have today! Why should we give them up over night just to be socially acceptable?

Until next time remember...Opinions are like certain parts of the anatomy. Everyone has one, just some are bigger then others!

How Much Is Too Much Information?

Well as I sit typing this my Facebook account quietly updates itself. Twitter receives its tweets, my g-mail silently gathers my e-mail. Lets not forget my black berry, it is busy doing what blackberries do. Keeping me informed from a mobile stand point. I also have my scanner whispering sweet information into my ear telling me what is happening when you put your ear to the street. Now some of my readers probably got left behind at twitter and tweets. Don't feel ashamed, sometimes I think I have fallen into the information overload disease. Holy techno crunch batman! How informed do you really need to be? Well honestly it is not even keeping informed as much as just having something to do. As you may or may not know I come from a back ground of freelance media. A lot of this kind of stuff come from when I was a mobile scribe, but you scratch your head and say; "hold the phone my little chunky monkey you have not been into the media since 1998?" I can say I was probably the best informed PCA when I worked in health care. Like I say old habits die hard, and being nosy dies harder. Smile...

Some ask why do I have to be so nosy? It is not really being nosy as such, as it is being informed. Yes I will admit I am a news junky. What is one mans trivial fact might just be an interesting piece of news for someone else. I am roaming all over the internet. What am I looking for you ask? Well really nothing, but a whole lot of everything. I might scan the twitter site then go read a news paper. Then I will go read what is happening on Facebook, then something there might send me on another fact finding mission. Lets face it I am a technological ape that roams the internet looking informative bananas.

Society of today has become the new reporters. One used to turn on the news at 6PM to find out what was happening in the world as we know it. Now those reporters of today still keep some people informed, but that is a small percentage because of the wizardry of today the neighborhood kid on the street corner could be your next reporter. With Youtube, and various sites like this our local media look to these type of sites to polish their own stories that they bring to you at your dinner table. So I ask who is the reporter now? The neighborhood kid with a video phone, or your hi priced reporter that rolls when channel 6 news attends an event? A bigger
question comes to mind who is the better reporter? Jimmy with the eye for detail and a $200 I-Phone, or James Taylor with the $300 dollar sports jacket and $20,000 worth of gear? Some days that is left for debate!

Blogging is another medium that adds to the techno science of the wild web. A friend that is from the silver era asked me to explain to him in layman's speak. So just as I have pretty well did it here they asked WHY? That is a big question; "To be informed I reply." Then I was asked how much information is too much? Well I find that kind of a personal question. Not like how many times to you go to the bathroom personal...smile, but personal in the sense of it depends on you as a person. What you might find is information overload is just getting me warmed up...Grin

So in conclusion I should be getting back to checking my various news haunts to see what is happening in the world. I would be interested from you as a reader what is too much information for you? What has got you saying you are on information overload, and need to unplug from the system for a bit. Allowing you to get back with nature and the simple things in life.

Until next time Just remember...if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off
